Sleep Coach

Your baby needs uninterrupted sleep just as much as you do!

Hi there! I’m Lydia Harden.

I’m so happy you’re here.

Let me introduce myself

After 10 years of working with families as a childcare specialist and getting a master’s degree in Developmental and Educational Psychology from Boston College, I started Slumberly to provide exhausted parents with the overnight support to effectively and quickly sleep train their babies.

The combination of my certifications as both a Pediatric Sleep Consultant and a Newborn Care Specialist allow me to take a holistic perspective when it comes to sleep. I approach every family with the personalized touch that it takes to see the sleep training process through from beginning to end.

Why am I so passionate about this work? I believe that no parent or child should have to struggle with long-term, chronic sleep deprivation. My goal is always the same; to ensure both parent and child can get the sleep they need to flourish.

Who are my clients?

I work with families who vary greatly in their need for sleep training; from families who are completely new to sleep training, to families who have tried every method to get their little one sleeping through the night, but nothing has worked.

I have worked with the children of financial advisors, pediatric nurses, nurse practitioners, professional athletes, therapists, realtors, teachers, developers, leaders in biotech, small business owners, soldiers, cinematographers…the list goes on.

What do all these families have in common? 1) They know how important sleep is for their baby’s development, 2) they want their family to fully thrive, rather than simply survive, 3) they were able to ask for help.

Why Slumberly?

All my services, both virtual and in-person, provide you with UNLIMITED, OVERNIGHT support throughout the sleep training process because I know just how crucial it is to have questions answered as they arise, especially at 3:00 am when you feel tempted to give up.

I will never sit here and tell you there is one right way to sleep train, because that’s just not true. The success of sleep training comes down to finding a professional you jive with and feel you can trust; one who helps you properly prepare for, and consistently implement a method that aligns with your core beliefs. If you have these things, you will be set up for success!

My mission

I have heard from far too many parents that they purchased and tried other sleep training methods, with no success. They may say that their baby just can’t be sleep trained, or that they don’t believe sleep training works.

I am here to tell you that WITHOUT the proper preparation, knowledge, guidance, and accountability to ensure the method is consistently implemented, sleep training can be difficult. This is why I believe in the power of coaching when it comes to sleep training.

My mission is to provide parents with the knowledge, emotional and mental preparation, as well as the step-by-step guidance and accountability that it takes to see the process through from start to finish!

Long-term sleep deprivation does not have to be an accepted part of parenting. Parents not only deserve sleep, they NEED sleep in order to show up fully in all areas of their lives; for their children, for their partner, for their work, and for themselves.

For children, sleep is the cornerstone of optimal brain development, physical growth, and emotion regulation. Sadly, research shows that sleep deprivation is all too common among young children. I know from experience that many children don’t just “figure out” how to sleep on their own; many need additional support to learn how.

My Method

The Slumberly Method is a version of the interval method of sleep training, with the overall goal of giving a baby the ability to fall asleep independently. It is based in my experience providing overnight care as a Newborn Care Specialist, supported by research, and grounded in my love for working 1:1 with families.

As a Pediatric Sleep Consultant, my hands-on, individualized method combines real-time support with professional expertise in order to achieve lasting results. I approach every family with an open mind, taking time to listen to specific concerns without judgment, and answer questions as they arise.

By partnering with me, you’ll reach your sleep training goals quickly and get the rest you need to truly enjoy each and every waking minute with your little one.
